Bulls and Bears Slots
We bet you saw the title of this slot game - Bulls and Bears - and immediately guessed a slot based on those animals. We did, too. And we were wrong. It turns out there is an altogether different theme happening here, and we'll come to that shortly. Get ready for some surprises and an unusual slot you may like to play.
Who made Bulls and Bears?
Real Time Gaming is known for all kinds of slots and themes, so it isn't much of a surprise to realize they are behind this one as well. Real Time Gaming produces a wide variety of exciting slots. Here are some other popular ones:
The stock market theme
You will see a bull and a bear in this game, but it still doesn't rank as an animal slot, not really. Those terms are used to describe a positive market or a negative market, and this leads us to a stock market setting for this game. There are plenty of icons involved in this alongside the bulls and bears. There's a guy looking thrilled as he reads the paper - presumably excited at seeing his stocks going up in value. There's another guy who seems to be panicking though, so we guess the news isn't as good for him. Stacks of cash and gold bars are among the other symbols you might see along the way.
How to get underway and spin the reels in Bulls and Bears slots
Firstly, we should highlight the two progressive jackpots in action here. These appear on either side of the title of the game. Below those, you'll find five reels with three symbols per reel in action.
The game offers two wilds - the bull on reel two and the bear on reel four. You can receive a 2x multiplier whenever you snag a wild prize. However, if you get both wilds involved in a winning line, you'll receive 4x the usual amount.
The scatter is shown as a stock chart, and even this is replaceable by those wilds, so everything counts.
How many paylines can you cover?
Bulls and Bears offers 25 adjustable paylines. That said, it is always best to play all of them, if possible, otherwise you could see a prize land on a line you hadn't played.
Which values can the coins take?
Coin sizes range from 0.01 to 5.00 with 1 coin per line, so betting on all 25 paylines starts from just a quarter up to a maximum bet of 125.00.
The game provides a paytable to check out
The game doesn't follow the patterns set by lots of other games, so it is a good idea to see what you make of this game by exploring the paytable once you've read our review.
Bonus features available in Bulls and Bears
The game does include a Feature Guarantee, and while it's not a bonus round, it does guarantee that you will get through to play the free spins by a certain point if you don't get there beforehand. It displays how many spins are left before you reach it.
What can you expect inside the free spins feature?
If you manage to reach this round by finding three stock charts scattered on the reels, you'll receive five free games. That's not a lot, but you can get seven or 15 instead for finding four or five triggering charts.
Before you play, you need to decide whether to go for Buy free spins or Sell free spins. The Buy version lands you another spin whenever the bull appears on the reels. If you choose to play the Sell version, the bear will award another free game whenever he appears.
Regardless of the version you decide to play, you'll always get three times the usual prize values for anything won.
So… what's our rating?
This game has been around for several years, so it does look a little old. However, it's still a rarity in terms of its theme, and we cannot think of anything else similar to this even now. For that alone, plus the two free spin possibilities, we can grant a score of 8.5 out of 10.
Stay alert for news of any progressive jackpot winners
The game offers you a chance to find some jackpot potential, as we know, but you will never know what the trigger is for these. It seems to be random, so who can say when the next of those jackpots might drop?
Play for real from 25 cents a go
There's no investing in any stocks here, but if you like the look of it, you can play a few spins at 25 cents a pop to see where you end up. Make sure you sort out your budget first, of course, and don't expect any prizes, so anything you do get will be a pleasant surprise. Try the demo version first if you're unsure.
