The Big Heist Slots

The Big Heist Slots

A heist is never a good thing no matter which way you look at it. However, it does provide a dramatic theme for a slot game, and it looks as if we've got one of those action-packed slots in store for us today. We've got lots of details to share with you here, so let's not delay, let's find out what's happening in this heist, shall we?

You know this developer, we're sure

Realtime Gaming has been around for a while now, and while they're known as Spin Logic Gaming now in some quarters, many still know them as RTG.

Test The Big Heist first in case it's not for you

Don't worry, this isn't a real heist, although you can still try it to see what you think of it by loading the demo first.

Theme details for this slot game

Since the title mentions a heist, it would be odd to find there's anything else going on, right?

Does the design match the theme?

Absolutely, and it looks like we have a good guys versus the bad guys element here. We spotted some donuts among the more dramatic items, including a gun, so maybe the people taking part in the heist are laying low for a while and munching on those.

Let's begin by finding out the basics of The Big Heist

The game only provides you with three reels, so it might be much smaller than you expected. You might also be surprised to see the creators included a progressive jackpot. The size of the game lends itself to using the familiar one-armed bandit machine-style casing for this one. The size also means there are no wilds or scatters, although there is a safe dial in play.

Paylines - or singular?

It's singular in this case, as there is just one line to bet on.

Don't expect a penny slot

Many one-line games do accept a penny as the cheapest bet, but this isn't one of them. You can play from as little as five cents though, with one, two, or three coins in play with each spin. You can play more than five cents per coin if you like, and the largest of the lot is worth five dollars.

There's no problem involved in finding the paytable

This appears above the reels, in the top part of the game screen. You never need to switch screens to see any other parts of the game.

The bonus and how to reach it

Surprised? Yes, the game does have a bonus feature, and the safe dial we mentioned earlier is the key to getting there. The idea is that you need to collect the safe dials that appear on the reels and store them in the meter provided. You need 50 of them to access the bonus feature. Unfortunately, the game's paytable didn't show anything to suggest what might happen if you access the feature, and we didn't manage to get there either.

That said, there is another way of reaching it, and that's by getting three dials lined up on the single payline. If this happens and you get through to the bonus, the prize you leave the bonus round with will get a multiplier of 10x the standard amount.

Free spins do not appear in the game

There are none to be found anywhere.

RTP details do not appear there either

This is common enough for RTG games, but you might have better results by checking with the casino instead.

What did we make of The Big Heist?

The safe dials are the big feature here, especially if you manage to land three at once. Other than that, it's a standard three-reel game, albeit with a quirkier theme. We think 7/10 is a fair score.

The police shield could bring you the progressive prize

You'll need to find three of them on the payline to get it though - and you need to play three coins while doing so, otherwise you'll scoop a smaller prize as per the paytable details.

Demo play is good to try for a bit

You might even collect enough safe dials to go through and find out more about the bonus if you do this - all without making any real bets.

Play for real for a few cents a pop

While you can play with just one coin at five cents a go, we suggest seeing if you can play three coins for 15 cents a go instead. If you can do this, you'll be in the running for the progressive if you can find those police shields.

You might find this at a mobile casino too

Check first, though, as the game is a lot older than the modern RTG slots that always play at mobile casinos.
